Your day-to-day:
- Lead discovery sessions to gather and document business requirements
- Work closely & collaborate with CX, UX and digital delivery teams
- Translate complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business and solutions
- Support agile & hybrid delivery with user stories, backlog grooming, and sprint planning
Your team:
You’ll be part of the Business Transformation Office within Lotto NZ’s Transformation & Technology division—a passionate, future-focused team driving meaningful change across the organisation. Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager and working alongside Senior Business Analysts, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver smarter, faster, and more efficient solutions.
The team is currently working on exciting initiatives that include enhancing digital platforms and improving customer and business experiences through innovative technology. Your role is key to identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, and ensuring successful delivery—from discovery to implementation.
A bit about you:
As an experienced Business Analyst or digital transformation superstar, you’ll be passionate about solving problems and making things better.
You’ll have:
- A knack for turning complex ideas into clear, actionable plans
- 2–4 years’ experience in business analysis or a similar role
- A strong understanding of how to gather, document, and communicate business needs
- Confidence working with different teams—from tech to operations to vendors
- Experience with agile or hybrid project environments
- A curious mindset and a drive to find smarter, faster ways of doing things
- A talent for spotting opportunities to automate and improve processes
- Great communication skills—you know how to ask the right questions and tell the right story
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Domain knowledge in Lotteries highly desirable
- General knowledge in CX and UX highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification or equivalent hands-on experience
