At Lotto NZ, we are dedicated to leveraging data and AI to drive our business forward. We are looking for a highly organised and results-driven Data Product Owner to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for data and a proven track record in managing data-centric projects, we want to hear from you!
As the Data Product Owner, you will play a key role in the delivery and success of our data strategy and data products. You will lead and shape the delivery of high-impact data initiatives that align seamlessly with our broader business goals. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing the backlog and ensuring world-class data delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Data delivery and product ownership: Lead the successful delivery of both BAU and data projects within the Data, Analytics, and AI value stream.
- Innovation: Drive the development of innovative data capabilities to support our strategic goals.
- Stakeholder engagement: Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and project success, translating data concepts into clear business value propositions.
- Agile execution: Oversee sprint planning, backlog grooming, and key agile ceremonies.
- Strategy implementation: Define and manage the strategic roadmap and backlog to align with business priorities and user needs.
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks, resolve complex challenges, and remove blockers.
Skills & experience:
- Backlog management: Proficient in managing backlogs and agile ways of working.
- Data knowledge: Strong understanding of data management, analytics, business intelligence, and data product management.
- Project delivery: Experience in delivering business value through end-to-end project lifecycle management.
- Stakeholder management: Exceptional communication and engagement skills.
- Problem solving: Ability to anticipate challenges and drive solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in delivering enterprise-level project management.
- Strong background in managing data-related projects, including data migration, integration, analytics, or business intelligence initiatives.
- Solid experience in applying agile project management methodologies.
- Project management and/or Agile certifications are advantageous.
- Tertiary qualification in project management or computer science preferred.
- Advanced Jira management skills are a plus.
