Your day-to-day:
- Analyse Lotto NZ’s digital channels and customer interactions to uncover insights using tools such as SQL and Python.
- Advise marketers on campaign design, audience targeting, and ROI optimisation.
- Help to build and maintain Google Analytics and Tag Manager tracking for web and app performance.
- Develop automated dashboards and reports to share actionable insights across the business.
- Joining behavioural and other data using SQL.
- Assist our digital marketers with the implementation of personalisation and AB test strategies.
- Monitor and refine analytics infrastructure to support evolving digital strategies.
- Present findings to senior stakeholders and influence key decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing, data engineering, and leadership teams to drive data-driven outcomes.

Lotto NZ’s Data & Analytics team, part of the Innovation &
Product division. We’re the brains behind turning data into insights that shape
Lotto NZ’s digital strategy. Our team works closely with marketing and product
teams to optimise campaigns, improve customer experiences, and deliver smarter
decisions.
- You will be
a part of the Digital Analytics Centre of Excellence - a hub for best
practice in Google Analytics and data interpretation. You’ll play a key role in
bridging the gap between data and digital marketing, helping us maximise ROI
and understand how players interact across web and mobile.
- It’s a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where your expertise will influence major projects and digital initiatives that impact millions of New Zealanders.
A bit about you:
As an experienced digital analytics practitioner, you will be passionate about turning data into insights and proud of the impact you make. You will have:
- Strong expertise in digital analytics tools like Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and querying using SQL, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Skills in data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Data Studio to tell compelling stories with data.
- A solid understanding of web and app tracking, plus familiarity with JavaScript and HTML.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with a track record of optimising digital marketing campaigns.
- A tertiary qualification in a numeric or IT discipline.
