Your day-to-day / Āu mahi ia te rā:
You’ll help set up MyLotto’s new content management system and bring content to life within it, using a new design system to create clear, user-friendly experiences that support safe, enjoyable play for New Zealanders. Working closely with UX/UI, product, brand and a wider project team, you’ll build and publish pages in the new headless CMS, making sure content is accurate, accessible and optimised for search. You’ll manage reviews, approvals and publishing workflows, keep work moving across a high-volume programme, and use analytics to guide improvements. Every day, your work will help deliver a trusted digital experience that gives back to communities across Aotearoa.

You’ll be part of Lotto NZ’s Digital Marketing team — a group passionate about creating safe, intuitive digital experiences that drive commercial outcomes to give back to communities. Working as part of a fast-paced project, you’ll work alongside the Digital Content Platform Manager to help bring a major CMS platform rebuild to life. You’ll be working with a variety of business areas, from brand and design through to our harm minimisation team, to deliver clear, consistent content across web and app that reflects best practice and supports the outcomes of the new design system being created by our UX team. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team that values open communication, agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
A bit about you / He kōrero mōu:
As an experienced Digital Content Specialist, you’ll be passionate about creating clear, accessible and search-optimised content for the web and app and be proud of every page you craft.
You will have:
- Hands‑on CMS experience building and publishing pages, ideally in a headless system like Contentful
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to following copy guidelines to write simple, accurate, on‑brand content
- A sharp eye for detail and a love of tidy, accurate, well‑structured pages
- A solid understanding of SEO/GEO and how to apply this
- Good working knowledge of HTML/CSS and how content behaves across devices
- Confidence working with UX/UI to shape content that supports user journeys
- Experience using analytics to validate tracking and guide improvements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with different people
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage content creation process from brief through to sign off
- Comfort working in agile teams and managing your work through tools like Jira
