Procurement Manager
Why choose Lotto? / He aha koe e kōwhiri nei i a Lotto?
At Lotto NZ, we’re believers in inspiring Kiwis to dream big. So, working with us means doing meaningful mahi that benefits good causes across Aotearoa. All while having fun along the way.
Everything we do comes back to making sure Kiwis can play in a way that’s healthy and fun, whilst returning 100% of our profits back into our communities around Aotearoa.
Your day-to-day / Āu mahi ia te rā:
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for procurement
advice and support across Lotto NZ, helping teams make smart, fair and
commercially sound sourcing decisions.
You’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to
understand what they need, shape effective procurement plans, and lead sourcing
and tender processes that deliver best public value.
Your day-to-day will include:
- developing sourcing strategies
- supporting tender activity through GETS
- coaching teams through good procurement practice
- advising on supplier and contract management
- supporting commercial negotiations
You’ll also help strengthen procurement frameworks and processes,
so we continue to meet our obligations as a Crown Entity.
Your team / Tō rōpū:
Sitting within our Legal and Procurement team and reporting
to the General Counsel, this role works closely with teams across the
organisation. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll be trusted to
guide, challenge and support teams as they navigate procurement decisions,
supplier relationships and contract management.
This is a great opportunity to make your mark in a role that has real influence across the business. You’ll help build capability, improve consistency, and support decisions that balance value, risk, probity and the bigger picture of why we exist — returning 100% of our profits to communities across Aotearoa.
A bit about you / He kōrero mōu:
As an experienced procurement professional, you’ll bring a practical, collaborative approach and sound commercial judgement. You’ll also be someone who:
- is passionate about delivering great commercial outcomes while keeping process, fairness and public value front of mind
- is confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, able to bring people on the journey, and comfortable providing practical advice in a fast-moving environment
- brings strong communication, organisation and
relationship-building skills, along with experience in sourcing, tendering,
supplier management and commercial negotiation
Experience working with the Government Procurement Rules and
GETS would be a real advantage, as would exposure to technology procurement.
Ideally, you’ll have a relevant commercial, procurement or supply chain qualification, such as CIPS, or equivalent experience.
Most importantly, you’ll bring curiosity, sound judgement and a pragmatic approach to helping the business get the best from the suppliers and partners we work with.
