A bit about the role:

At Lotto NZ, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring our retailers have the support they need to succeed. As a Relationship Manager, you will be at the heart of this mission, acting as the key point of contact for your portfolio of retailers in Palmerston North and surrounding areas.

As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the relationship with our retailers, from opening new stores to ensuring ongoing success. Your focus will be on bringing our customer vision to life in each store, providing support and guidance, and driving sales growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Relationship management: Build and maintain trusting and collaborative relationships with retailers. Provide advice, identify opportunities, and add value with each interaction.
  • Customer experience: ensure winning customer experiences in all stores. Gather customer insights and use them to improve the in-store experience.
  • Safe gambling: champion our Play Smart programme to minimise the risk of harm from problem and underage gambling.
  • Operations: manage the end-to-end process of store openings, closures, and upgrades. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and documentation.
  • Training: deliver training to retailers and their staff on Lotto NZ systems, processes, and products.
  • Health & safety: ensure the safe installation and maintenance of Lotto NZ equipment in stores.

What we’re looking for:

  • Communication skills: effectively communicate ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing to build strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Time management: prioritise your workload to maximise time and financial resources.
  • Retail experience: a thorough knowledge of the retail industry with 5+ years of experience.
  • Leadership: confidently lead challenging conversations and manage store performance.
  • Analytical skills: use data to develop sales plans and identify key retail drivers.
  • Driver Licence: A current clean NZ drivers licence is required.
