Your day-to-day:

As a Senior Marketing Manager joining us on a 12-Month fixed-term parental cover at Lotto NZ, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the brand strategy for one of New Zealand’s most trusted brands. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans that enhance brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a proven track record in brand management.

Brand & Communications Planning

  • Develop and implement marketing plans across our product and purpose brands, as well as key business projects.
  • Ongoing management and refinement of campaign and media plans to meet KPIs such as milestones, sales targets, and brand health.

Implementation of Brand and Communications Activity

  • Lead and execute marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Optimize marketing ROI and ensure relevant communications for customer segments.
  • Keep stakeholders informed.

Campaign Approvals by Supporting the Wider Team

  • Approve briefs and creative executions.
  • Oversee major promotions and competitions.
  • Manage marketing project budgets.

Partnerships and Relationships

  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Functional Marketing Disciplines

  • Analyse market research, as well as customer and sales data to inform strategy.
  • Allocate resources effectively and monitor brand performance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and champion professional marketing practices.

You’ll be part of the Marketing team who are a passionate group dedicated to bringing joy to New Zealanders while supporting local communities. Reporting to the Head of Brand

A bit about you:

As an experienced marketing manager, you will be passionate about what you do and be proud of it. You will have:

  • Comprehensive understanding of fundamental marketing principles and strategy
  • Proven experience leading successful end-to-end marketing campaigns
  • Extensive knowledge of the New Zealand media landscape
  • Solid commercial acumen with a results-driven attitude
  • Experience managing media and creative agencies
  • A customer-driven approach
  • Strong communication skills and a confident presenter
  • Good creative eye with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to create and embrace new ideas and change, and to encourage innovation in others
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise workload in order to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A punctuation and grammar stickler
  • An enthusiastic, curious and collaborative, problem-solving attitude
  • Lots of drive, energy and passion for the achievement of Lotto NZ’s goals
